wolfgame30 asked:

and you collected silver dollars, all your collection was in MINT condition..youve been looking for several coins to complete your collection and just found one of the coins you were looking for but it was slightly dull and worn..and only a little bit of tarnish.. would you take it home and put it in your collection of mint condition coins?

Yes. Then I’d take all the other coins and scuff them up so they matched the one I just found. Then they wouldn’t look out of place. (Truthfully, I’d keep it in the collection temporarily, while still looking for a better coin)

Yes. Most collectors start out with what they can find and when they find a better coin they replace the poor one. I have been collecting for years and I only collect MS70 coins.

I’d cash them in and buy some pot.

i collect certain legal tender for fun, not for mint condition..

although i’ve seen on some commercials that you can use a certain liquid that will clean tarnish off of coins

Considering this in the religion and Spirituality section I am guessing this isn’t just about coins, and I remember the parable about the lost coin… although thats not quite rigth either…

Are you implying that God wants mint condition coins and the only way to become mint condition is through Jesus? Well I think that is a beautiful way of looking at the whole issue.
